Permanent Waving Weissbier
Permanent Waving Weissbier
From Matt:
One of the first 'craft' beers I remember having was a Widmer Brothers hefeweizen. I didn't know what it was, but it sounded really German so I went with it. Turns out they were just from Oregon.
This weissbier is a close cousin to that hefe. A simple grain bill of red wheat and German pilsner malt, Saaz hops, and Omega's hefeweizen yeast will get you on your way to a slightly sweet yet malty beer that's as easy to make as it is to drink.
