Non-sterile serological pipettes draw or dispense any amount of liquid within the pipette's range in general applications where sterility is not required. Graduated markings on the pipette's tube indicate how much liquid is being drawn into or dispensed from the pipette.
Pipette controllers attach to pipettes to assist with collecting and dispensing liquids. They allow greater control and accuracy than thumb pipetting.
